what is God to me?ill simply say everything!!
As humans we all want and need something to believe in,there's a philosophy of life, scientists have their theories and Christians have theirs.every event that happens in life has its own significance to people with difference beliefs, pagans believe in things like luck, destiny or karma, others believe u make your own destiny..d list goes on.
As a realist i like the thought of believing in a superior being taking control of my life, someone who knows me inside out before my birth, someone who knows what im in the world for..generally i like the idea of someone that is better than humans pulling the strings form above and someone taking care of me and my endeavors and if it happens that that person is also someone who never disappoints,is a shoulder to cry on,someone who never judges, most importantly someone is forgiving, time and time again then that makes the decision even better and ill rather believe that than believe in luck and karma.
As a christian myself tho apart from everything God denotes to be to us,he is our father and Friend and we are his most prized creation regarded above angel, regardless of how flawed we are (humans are really flawed extremely so-im not an alien).God is someone who sent his son to die for the sins of people who din't believe in him or appreciate him.,but before even sending his son he gave us a chance to know him and respect him by making his sons live an exceptional and exemplary life,he is someone who despite being angry and disappointed gives us chances time and time again,my God is a God of miracles, signs and wonders,a God that protects, provides, that loves unconditionally.unlike us humans
Yes i keep on talking about how flawed humans are because i know how far i am from a perfection that God and Jesus and frankly Christianity to me is God giving us a chance to be almost as perfect as him,a chance to be thankful and grateful,a chance to be loved and to feel safe and protected.that basically is Christianity to me but obviously there's more involved seeing as im not a preacher
